Truth II
Created by Robert E. Wronski, Jr.
Real Name: George Banner
Current Occupation: Deceased; former Investigative Journalist
Parents: Unnamed
Siblings: None
Spouse: None
Children: None
Group Affiliation: None
Place of Birth: Worcester
Place of Death: An unnamed alternate dimension
First Appearance: Justice (2nd series) # 1, July 2005
Biography:
George Banner was an investigative reporter for the Worcester Telegram. When a new female vigilante appeared calling herself Justice, George felt discovering her identity would be his big break. While investigating, he met Michelle Wrigley, who used to be the publicly known super-hero Powerkid before she gave up her powers for good.
George and Michelle started dating, and eventually he discovered that she was in fact Justice. Rather than exposing her, he instead kept her secret, and helped her in her battle against crime using his own investigative skills. Eventually, he chose to himself don a costume and be called Truth. (Previously, during the 1990s, there had been a previous Justice and Truth team, who had been brother and sister.)
Just over a year ago, several heroes and villains were abducted from Earth by the Protector and forced to do battle in some pocket dimension. During the battle, Truth was slain by Hell Child. This tragedy was the final straw that caused Michelle Wrigley to give up adventuring upon her return to Earth.
A new Justice and Truth team has began operating out of Amherst. This time they are two college students.
Comments:
This character's personality and appearance is based upon my brother in law, but that has no connection whatsoever to my killing him off. The fact of the matter was that in the Justice strip, Michelle Wrigley was suffering an emotional rollar coaster. Her ex-boyfriend had become one of the most powerful super-villains on Earth. Her brother was possessed and killed the President of the United States. Her mother died of cancer. Then she inherited a company and billions of dollars from her brother's father, who turned out to be an evil mastermind trying to take over the world. George's death was the final straw to make her quit, and the emotional drama made for a very great story.

Michelle Wrigley
Created by Robert E. Wronski, Jr. and Walter Wright
Real Name: Michelle Denise Wrigley
Aliases: Super Baby, Powerkid II, Powerman III, Justice III
Current Occupation: President, chairman of the board of Bossman Enterprises
Parents: Walter and Maureen (Hasser) Wrigley (both deceased)
Siblings: Christopher Kowalsky (aka Powerman II; adopted brother)
Spouse: None
Children: None
Group Affiliation: Heroes of Earth; also will be a member of the Power Police in the future
Place of Birth: Orange City
Current Place of Residence: Orange City
First Appearance: Powerkid # 23 (July 1984)
Biography:
When Christopher Kowalsky, the hero who was known as Powerkid at the time and is now known as Powerman, was 11, he gained a little sister, Michelle Wrigley. They thought they were half-siblings, with different fathers. Years later, they would learn that their mother was not actually Chris' mother.
When Michelle was just a month old, the family was camping, and Michelle accidentally rolled into a pond. As it turned out, the pond has been irradiated with the same energy that gave Chris his powers. This has been no accident, but intentional on the part of the Great Unknown. Chris immediately dove in after his sister, but the pond had given Michelle the same powers as Powerkid, including the advanced intelligence. However, her powers were only activated in time of need. When there was a danger that Powerkid couldn't handle alone, Michelle would turn into Super Baby.
As Super Baby, Michelle operated whenever needed, including during the Crisis on Infinite Earths where she helped maintain order during the unpredictable weather and merging of space and time. Shortly after the Crisis, when she was just over a year old, her powers faded away.
When Michelle was two, she possessed by Satan, and Powerkid had to rely on the help of the Monster Squad to drive him out of her.
In 1991, when Michelle was seven, her brother was thought to be killed by Doctor Deadly. Allorin Vonski found a way to transfer his powers to Michelle, but chose to transform her into a duplicate of Powerman (yes, turning her into an adult male) and wiping her memories. Michelle operated as Powerman for a few months until Chris showed up alive and reclaimed his powers and title. Michelle was reverted back to normal with no memories of her time as Powerman.
However, while Chris was thought dead, and Michelle was amnesiac, their mother lost her mind from the stress and hated super-heroes. She went to Australia and blew up Heroes of Earth headquarters there. She was found insane and committed to a mental hospital.
Shortly after this, Chris went off to college, and Michelle was left to be raised alone by her father. Eventually, Walter fought a long and hard legal battle to have Maureen released into his custody.
A year after all this, Doctor Deadly met Doctor Doom, a villain from an alternate universe. The two worked together to hatch a spell that banished all super-heroes to limbo. Now a world without heroes, the super-villains were able to wreak havok. Allorin Vonski used his powers to grant powers to several of Chris' friends, as well as Michelle, who regained her old powers, now permanently, and became Powerkid.
Eventually, the heroes managed to get back home and restore order, and Michelle continued to operate as Powerkid. It should be noted that just like with Chris, when Michelle transformed into Powerkid, she aged physically, intellectually, and emotionally by some years.
Thus in 1994, though only 10 years old as Michelle, she was 15 as Powerkid, and started dating 18 year old super hero Zap, Master of Power. Though at this time Powerman's identity was public, Michelle managed to keep hers secret, and chose not to tell Zap. As Powerkid, she had feelings for Zap, and did not want him to know she was just a 10 year old kid.
Later in 1994, a being called the Nameless One came to Earth and did battle with Powerman, and both seemed to vaporize each other, but in reality they has both been teleported to opposite sides of the universe. During his absence, Powerkid and NighTrain worked together to protect Orange City and deal with three fakers claiming to be the real Powerman. Eventually Powerman returned, but so did the Nameless one, who kidnapped Chris and Michelle's parents. Powerman left to rescue them, instructing Michelle that it was up to her to be Earth's champion in his absence.
A year later, Powerman decided to leave Earth behind forever, and Powerkid officially became Earth's champion. Shortly after, the mutant called Adam used his psychic powers to take over the Earth, establishing a new world order where mutants and metahumans ruled over normal humans. He made the Heroes of Earth and Champions as his royal guard, and Powerkid and Zap were his personal bodyguards. For three years, Powerkid served Adam, all the while trying to muster the willpower to send a psychic message of her own to Powerman, which finally reached him out in space. He returned to Earth, and helped the heroes regain control and overthrow Adam, who Powerman had to kill. Meanwhile, Adam's brother had gained the power of time travel, and was going back in time to kill every metahuman before they gained their powers. Powerkid joined with the other heroes to stop him, and she was able to stop Timeline before he tried to kill Maureen Wrigley in 1984 while she was still pregnant with Michelle in the womb. Timeline, too, was killed.
Following this, Allorin Vonski created a spell that removed all super powers from all super beings on Earth, except for a few who chose to leave Earth. Michelle willingly gave up her powers.
Now Michelle was 14, and the now powerless Zap, Keith Sheridan, was 20. They tried to maintain their relationship, but the age difference strained things, as well another factor. Michelle was fine living a normal life. She began devoting herself to athletics and her studies. But Keith began to resent having lost his powers, when for three years he was one of the most powerful men on the planet. Now he was at college, and doing poorly. Without the super heroics, Michelle and Keith found they had nothing in common, and eventually ended their relationship.
Four years later, Michelle turned 18 and went off to Worcester State College. Now living in one of the most crime ridden cities in the world, Michelle got the hero itch again. When she turned 21, she adopted the abandoned identity of Justice, and began patrolling the streets as a vigilante, becoming the only costumed hero of the time.
The next year, however, her brother returned to active duty as Powerman, and his son Connor became Powerkid. This sparked the beginning of a new heroic age.
Early on in Michelle's new vigilante career, she encountered investigative journalist George Banner, who was trying to uncover Justice's identity. Eventually, Michelle and George began dating, and he learned, but kept, her secret. He even took up the costumed business himself, calling himself Truth.
In 2008, Michelle learned that her mother had terminal cancer. She moved back to Orange City to live with and care for her mother. This created a strain in her relationship with George.
Then the new Crisis hit, and Michelle as Justice had to participate. At one point, she and Truth had to travel back in time to 1991, where they encountered Peter and Michelle Falkner, the Justice and Truth of that time.
After the Crisis, Justice served with the newly reformed Heroes of Earths very briefly.
At the end of 2008, Maureen Wrigley died, and Michelle could no longer operate at Justice. But she was forced to don the costume one last time when her and several other heroes were brought against their will to a "battleworld" where they had to combat their greatest enemies. Truth was killed during this great battle. When the heroes finally returned, Michelle gave up heroics.
Michelle chose to stay in Orange City, in her childhood home, which she now owned. Shortly after, her brother's father, billionaire Michael Bossman returned to a life of crime (he had been a reformed super villain). There was a strange clause that left his company, Bossman Enterprises, and his entire fortune, property, and assets for Chris and Connor Kowalsky, Michelle Wrigley, and Connor's mother Yana Oo. Connor was too young to control a company, and Chris was in hiding at the time (due to having killed President Bush while under mind control), and thus Michelle and Yana were suddenly in control of a multi-billion dollar company.
Now Michelle has abandoned heroics and runs Bossman Enterprises, though she does fund the operations of NighTforce and the Bad Guys, both heroic teams.
In the year 2019, Michelle will again be operating as Justice, and will become a member of the Power Police.
Comments:
Michelle Wrigley was inspired by my sister, Michelle Wright. The character was created by my step-father, Walter Wright, though he really just came up with the name (that had been previously used in silver age Superman stories.) Walter was the Bob Kane to my Bill Finger, in that he came up with the name, and I came up with everything else since then.
Michelle/Super Baby was a supporting character in Powerkid from 1984 - 1988, and also appeared in the Crisis Within.
She continued to be a supporting character in Powerman from 1988 to 1991. Briefly, she became the feature character in Powerman during the summer of 1991, but reverted by to supporting status.
In 1991 to 1992, Michelle Wrigley was seen in the futuristic series Power Police 2019/2020. This was the first time we learn that Michelle will become Justice at age 21 and will continue to operate as Justice in the years 2019 and 2020.
In 1994, Powerkid volume 2 was launched, featuring Michelle Wrigley, which ran until May 1995. She next appeared in the four issue Timeline mini-series in 1998.
In 2005, Justice volume 2 was launched, again featuring Michelle Wrigley. Though this series is still ongoing, Michelle stopped being the feature character in August 2010, when she passed the torch over to the new Justice, Holly Frost.
Michelle remains a supporting cast member in Powerman, Powerkid, Justice, NighTforce, and the Bad Guys.

Crossovers: A Secret Chronology of the World
In 2001, I first discovered Win Scott Eckert's Crossover Chronology. As a crossover fanatic, I was overwhelmed, and read the thing straight through in just a few days.
In 2004, during the era when Powerman was in self-exile, traveling through space, time, and alternate realities. He had been doing so for about a year at this point in the series, but had only been encountering new characters and settings, or familiar ones from within the Super Comics Universe and Multiverse.
But in late 2004, I chose to incorporate the works of Win Scott Eckert's chronology, including all the events and characters, as well as the articles of Wold Newtonry mentioned within the chronology. From 2004 to 2007, Powerman started encountering characters from Win's Crossover Chronology, in the past, present and future. In 2007, Powerman returned home, but over in Super Team-Up, stories continued to involve Powerman teaming with the characters from Win's Chronology.
Last year, the chronology evolved into a two volume book called Crossovers: A Secret Chronology of the World, which was a much expanded version of the online chronology. Of course I ordered the book within minutes of learning it was available for sale. Powerman continues to encounter characters brought in from Win's work, as do other characters like Powerkid and the Wanderer. The chronology is firmly a part of Wronskiverse canon, with a few minor areas where there is a conflict with already established Wronskiverse canon. But those are very, very minor.
Of course, some characters from the chronology were already in. Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, Tarzan, the Lone Ranger, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Captain America, Law & Order, and some others had already existed in the Wronskiverse long before I discovered Win's site. And it was because of those that I felt so comfortable including his whole chronology.
Of course, just as my inclusion of some elements of the DC Universe doesn't go in reverse, the same goes here. Win's works exist within his Crossover Universe. But his work is so great, that is is considered by Henry Covert of the Wold Newton Meteoric Society to be a key piece of the Wold Newton Universe. Additionally, it is also the what I would consider the Bible for my Television Crossover Universe. So the chronology really exists in at least four realities.

Crisis
Crisis was a 12 issue mini-series that ran from May 2008 to April 2009. It had crossovers in every Super Comics title of the time period.
The New Power Organization returned with a plan to destroy all reality (the entire multiverse) and replace it with a one shaped in evil. To do this, they needed both the Universal Transponder and the Sword of Power, and planned on increasing their chances by going into the past and the future to steal it over and over at different points.
For such a grand plan, they needed an army of villains. This was, however, a time when most super-villains were either dead, or had been stripped of their power and their memories. Morgoth and Satan worked with Kane on such a powerful spell that they restored the memories and powers of all living villains, and raised many of the major villains of the past 30 years back from the dead. Then to top it off, they gifted each villain with a power upgrade, making each one more powerful than ever.
When Allorin Vonski, the Great Unknown, and Zeus learned of this, they quickly did the same thing for heroes. They raised deceased super-heroes, and brought back retired and depowered heroes.
Then the race was on, and heroes and villains traveled to various times in the past, present, and future to obtain their prize or save it.
This series during this portion of the story ended up featuring every Super Comics character ever created. But it didn't end there.
One such important mission needs to be mentioned, because it's impact on the mythology of the Wronskiverse. We had learned in 1985's History of the Super Universe that at the end of time, Powerkid would fight Doctor Deadly, and the battle would destroy the universe.
Then in the series New Earth, published in 1994 and taking place in 3182, Powerman and Dr. Deadly have that battle, and are about to do the deed, when the cosmic being Barsto travels to that point to absorb the energy of the two, pursued from 1994 by Allorin Vonski. The interference caused the four to merge into the being called Continuity. This did end the universe. Eventually, Continuity is killed due to the sacrifice of NighTrain, but Vonski is able to separate himself, as revealed later.
Well, in Crisis, the New Power sends a team to the future to steal the power emitted during the event to fuel the machine they are creating. The team sent is Voltrus, Hellchild, Man-Killer, Spearon, Lightning Master, Powerlord, Dikrewop, and Nicole Barstaman. But just as they arrive in the future, they are followed by Powerman, Powerkid, Powergirl, Zap, Zap Mom, Girl Zap, Zappette, and Krazel. The heroes overcome the villains, but their presence interferes with predestined events, so that the universe does not end. The universe continues to live on beyond 3182.
The bad guys do manage to get the sword and universal transponder. The villains move their operation off the Earthly plane and into Hell. Soon the universe and multiverse start to feel the effects of the end, and Allorin Vonski reaches out to heroes of other worlds, including Earth-0 (the DC Universe), Earth-616 (the Marvel Universe), Earth-26 (the world of Captain Carrot, Animal Town, and Mighty Mouse), Earth-818793 (the Wold Newton Universe), Earth-5 (the world of Power Woman), Kearth-K (where Powerman is evil), Earth-B2 (Powerman operated during World War II), Earth-Z (where only characters created by Phil Sheridan exist), and Earth-Prime (home of Super Comics creator Robert E. Wronski, Jr.)
The final battle was in Hell. The Machine was destroyed, the transponder was recovered. Powerlord maintained the Sword. Morgoth was freed from occupying the body of the scientist Uglon for the first time in centuies. And Satan was killed, which caused the destruction of Hell. All heroes and villains managed to flee from Hell thanks to Vonski, the Great Unknown and Zeus. Because Hell was destroyed, the souls trapped there returned to Earth as ghosts, and all demons became homeless and have now taken to spending all their time on Earth now.
Following Crisis, with the return of many heroes and villains, many new titles were started or returned, including National Heroes, Heroes of Earth, Forgotten Ones, and Bad Guys.

Adam
Created by Robert E. Wronski, Jr.
Real Name: Adam (Last Name Never Revealed)
Current Occupation: Deceased; former ruler of Earth
Parents: Unnamed
Siblings: Timeline (real name unrevealed)
Spouse: None
Children: None
Group Affiliation: None
Place of Birth: Somewhere in America
Place of Death: A satellite orbiting Earth
First Appearance: Timeline # 1 (September 1998)
Biography:
Adam and his brother were twins (not identical) born into a typical American household. It wasn't long before the household was no longer ordinary. From a very early age Adam begin to exhibit abilities. At 2 he was telekinetic. By 4 he was reading minds, and shortly after that he was beginning to be able to control minds. Meanwhile his brother exhibited no powers, and was often Adam's victim.
His parents grew scared and sent Adam away to a government agency called Project: Franklin. The Project tried to turn Adam into a weapon. They kept him locked away, conducted tests on him, sometimes painful. All this time, a psychic connection remained between the brothers. And the normal one knew his brother was evil, and he was afraid.
In 1995, Powerman left Earth after the woman he loved had left him. He left his sister, Powerkid, in charge of protecting Earth as its champion. A few months later, Adam, now 21, broke free of his prison, killing many in the process. He used his powers to within weeks become ruler of Earth, establishing a new order where mutants and meta-humans were a higher class of society than normal people. Additionally, he banished all aliens from Earth. With his amazing powers at this point, he had the power to dominate everyone on the planet. Even magic users were powerless against him.
Adam reorganized the Heroes of Earth as his private army. He admitted the former Misfits as his personal task force. And he placed Powerkid and Zap as his personal guards.
Some of these heroes served willingly, but most were victims of mind control.
During his reign, NighTrain led a team of underground freedom fighters who tried in vain to liberate Earth. However, Adam stayed in power for three years.
In 1998, Powerkid was finally able to gather enough will power to send a mental summons to her brother, who was now living on the planet Hanguk. Powerman immediately headed back to Earth with some new friends and his new bride. It took a few weeks, but Powerman soon found himself on Earth faced with a double threat.
First, he had to rally the Heroes of Earth and NighTrain's team to join forces, both to overthrow Adam and take on another threat. You see, when Adam rose to power, his brother felt he had to stop him. He found a means of gaining the power to travel through time of his own will in order to accomplish a specific plan. Calling himself Timeline, he felt that in order to prevent Adam's rise, he needed to create a world without meta-humans and mutants by travelling back and killing them before they got their powers.
Powerman was able to convince Adam to release the heroes from his control so they could help stop his brother. After all, if Timeline wasn't stopped, Adam was doomed as well. Powerman eventually defeated Timeline, but the only way to stop him was to kill him, and he did so, back in November of 1979, and moments later, off in the distance, he witnessed himself, at age 6, being struck by a meteorite that would change his world forever.
With the heroes free, they returned to the present. And that is when it was learned not all that served Adam had been under mind control. A battle was fought, but Powerman's will, with the power of the Great Unknown, was enough to destroy Adam, literally killing him by blowing up his brain.
Following the aftermath, Powerman reflected that in some ways Timeline was correct. Powerman had been to the future often, and after the next century, there are no meta-humans, and Earth has entered an era where it is part of an interstellar community.
The heroes agree that a world without meta-humans and vigilantes would be for the best. Knowing not all would agree, Allorin Vonski created a massive spell that took away all super-powers, and erased from the minds of all Earth inhabitants of any memories of super-heroes. Only some were spared, who chose to leave Earth to explore space.
Of course, those heroes returned a few years later, and when Powerman, under the control of Doctor Deadly killed President Bush, everyone's memories returned, but not the powers.
Only recently, during an event only known as the Crisis, has almost every hero and villain had their powers restored, and upgraded, and even the dead ones were brought back.
However, the New Power, who were resurrecting villains, knew not to bring Adam back. Adam's power had kept the New Power at bay before, and they weren't going to take that risk.
Comments:
Adam was created for a four issue mini-series called Timeline. In 1995, I was done with Super Comics, and cancelled all titles. I left the universe with Powerman leaving Earth and Powerkid becoming the new Champion of Earth. Powerman's final storyline regarded him learning some secrets from his past and where he truly came from.
Three years later, my creative juices returned and so I wrote Timeline. Timeline was meant to show the consequences of what happens when Powerman abandons his duty. Timeline was meant to show how power corrupts even our heroes. Timeline was meant to be fun, with time travel back to different origin stories, from a different perspective. And Timeline was meant to give Super Comics a better ending, setting the stage for all the future era stories such as Ticon Force, Star Trek: Azrael, Captain Zippy, Star Patrol, and New Earth.
Of course, I did not end things there. I soon continued with those who left Earth, and their explorations, and eventually brought back the entire Super Universe.
Adam will be returning within the next few years, though differently than he had appeared in the past. Stayed tuned to Powerman in 2014.
